The campsite in Deux-Sèvres

Nestled in the heart of the wild part of the Marais Poitevin, Le Lidon campside is bordered by one of the Green Venice canals – The Mignon Canal. It is laid out with 140 grassy pitches in an area of 2 hectares. There are numerous trees to add protection from the sun. Most parts of the campsite are accessible to disabled people.

We offer different types of accommodations such as grassy pitches for tents, caravans and camper vans but also wood and canvas tents, canvas tent bungalows, mobile homes and log cabins. A romany caravan can also be rented
2 toilet blocks are available with a parent and baby bathroom. There’s also an accessible toilet and a shower cubicle

Leisure at the campsite

There are also a heated outdoor swimming pool and a children’s pool which are opened in July and August. Deckchairs and parasols are arranged around the pool for total relaxation.

At the entrance of the campsite, a service area for camper vans is available,it is also possible to carry out the water supply. Recycling bins (glass waste, recycling and all-comers) are present on the car park adjoining the campsite.

The campsite alos offers a great play area for children.

The Lidon also has a games room for older children where you can do a pool, a game of puck, ping pong or other.
Animations are organized to entertain young and old (discovery of Nature, astronomy, pottery, for example)

If there is no river in the Marais, there are canals, conches that will amaze nature lovers. Indeed, their banks shelter a rich and varied flora and fauna (tadpole ash trees emblem of the Marais, many species of birds and insects, fish …).
Many trails of walk or bike (rental) are accessible from the campsite. It is also possible to discover the Marais by excursions by boat or canoe available for rent directly from the pier of the campsite.
